Learn about our origins, our team, and our commitment to South Sudan.
YEAH Organization was established in 2024 by a group of young South Sudanese professionals in Aweil, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. Having seen how top-down aid projects often faltered once external funding ended, our founders set out to build a community-driven model instead. We believe sustainable development only happens when local youth actively lead, design and manage the solutions in their own communities.
A morally and ethically productive generation of young people who positively transform their lives, families and communities.
To support today's generation of young people through education, practical skills development, leadership opportunities and community-led programmes.
Inspiring positive, lasting change by opening opportunities for every young person and community we serve.
Working collaboratively — with communities, partners and each other — to maximize our collective impact.
Respecting varied cultures, religions, abilities and perspectives in every community where we work.
Delivering transparent, ethical and accountable services to communities, partners and donors.
Developing responsible leaders committed to sustainable development at every level of society.
Serving every individual with dignity, equality and compassion — without exception.
Our office is in Aweil City Council, Aweil Centre County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, and our programmes currently run in and around this area.
We intend to expand to other parts of South Sudan as our programmes, registration and partnerships allow.
Registered under the South Sudan NGO Act, 2016.
A small core team working directly with local leaders and residents.
We're building relationships with government, civil society and other organisations as we grow.
Our programmes focus on the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in our region.
